Better Wetlands

The Opportunity

In New York State, thousands of acres of former wetlands are being enhanced and restored by private landowners. They’re getting help from conservation/sportsmen’s groups and county, state and federal agencies.

We invite you to actively participate in helping to make these wetlands the very best they can be.

Wetlands provide important environmental functions. We use them for a variety of educational purposes, and as New Yorkers, we derive personal enjoyment from many recreational opportunities they offer.

Please take time to consider the following wetland enhancements.
