Slope Indicators

Slope indicators have been created for use in engineering drawings. Each slope indicator is an AutoCAD drawing that is placed in a drawing using the INSERT command.

There are two type of slope indicators available.

  • Run-Rise

This slope indicator is used to indicate the Run and Rise ratio of a slope. The files are wblocks that contain attributes which prompt the user for the values of Run and Rise.

The default values are shown below.

    • Run = 3

    • Rise = 1

  • Or Flatter

This slope indicator is used to indicate the Run and Rise ratio of a slope. It also allows the user to specify a maximum Run value.

The default values are shown below.

    • Run = 3

    • Rise = 1

    • Or Flatter = 3

For consistency, NRCS New York CADD users are recommended to place these files in the
NY library\general\slope indicators directory of their home drive.

Users may create subdirectories to aide the organization of drawings.

View the New York Library directory structure.

These drawings use the NRCS-NY_Standard_Plot_Style_Table 1.stb for Named Plot Style plotting.

These are compressed files containing AutoCAD drawings. They require Winzip or similar program to decompress.
