Drawing Sheets
NRCS New York Engineering drawing sheets are based on the NRCS drawing sheets. Some
modifications have been made for use in New York.
When a sheet is inserted into a drawing as a block, attributes prompt the user for
text entries in the title block. Additional text can be entered in the titleblock by inserting a block that prompts the user for 3, 4, 5, or 6 lines of text.
Instructions for this procedure are provided on the metadata layer of each
drawing.
These files should placed in
the directory c:\program files\land desktop 3\data\borders. If
a drawing sheet is selected during the drawing set up routine in Land Desktop,
the program looks to this directory to retrieve it.
For consistency, New York CADD users are recommended to also place the
files in the NY Library\drawings\general\borders directory of their home drive.

Update May 2007
NRCS New York Engineering Drawing Sheets for A, B and C sized plots have
been revised to better conform with the National Engineering Handbook (NEH) Part 641 Drafting and Drawings
\ Chapter 1 - Computer Aided Design
(CAD) Standards developed by NRCS and released in January 2006.
A revised NRCS-NY_Standard_Plot_Style_Table_1
has been released containing named plot styles that produce lineweights for
text objects in accordance with these standards.
