Drawings

This area of the NRCS New York Engineering Web site provides engineering drawings that have been approved for use in New York by NRCS, Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCD), other state agencies, and private sector Technical Service Providers (TSP).

NRCS New York is in the process of developing and updating its Engineering Standard Job Sheets and Standard Details. Drawings will be posted to this web site once they complete the various stages of review and approval.

Conditions for Use: NRCS New York Engineering Standard Job Sheets and Standard Details are part of the design and are subject to review and approval by an individual with the appropriate approval authority, or certified Technical Service Provider (TSP), before implementation can occur.

About the drawings

For consistency amongst NRCS New York CADD workstations, it is recommended users create a directory named NY Library on their home drive. This directory will contain subdirectories for storing Standard Job Sheets and Standard details. Users may create subdirectories of their own to aide the organization of drawings.

The majority of the drawings are meant for black and white output on 11" by 17" sheets. CADD plotters and many of the NRCS desktop printers have 11" by 17" capability. Drawing files have information about plotting on the metadata layer.

All NRCS New York CADD drawings use the NRCS-NY Standard_Plot_Style_Table 1.stb. This is a Named Plot Style Table to control the plot output.
