Program Settings and Customization

This area of the NRCS New York CADD Web site provides program settings and customizations for Autodesk programs. Some of the customizations further automate processes already built into the program, while others provide new processes written by users.

Program Customization

• Expanding the layer and linetype drop-down lists

• Installing the NRCS-NY custom linetypes

• Reassigning the F1 key to function as a Cancel command

Program Settings

• Activating and adjusting the Automatic Save function

• Changing the expression of lineweight values to inches

System Variables

• ATTDIA
  Controls the display of the Edit Attributes dialog box.
   

• ATTREQ
  Controls the behavior of attributes in blocks when inserted in a drawing.
   

• FILEDIA
  Controls the display of file dialog boxes such as Save, Saveas, open.
   

• MTEXTFIXED
  Controls the behavior of the In-Place Text Editor for Mtext (applies to AutoCAD 2006, 2007 products).
