The FILEDIA System Variable

If you type a command at the command line that normally results in a file dialog box being displayed, but the program proceeds by prompting you for feedback through the command line, the settings of the FILEDIA system variable (sysvar) may need to be changed.

This system variable effects commands such as Open, SaveAs and Save, where the user is asked to provide a file name.

The FILEDIA system variable has two settings.

• When set to (0) the program will prompt you for input through the command line.
   

• When set to (1) the program will display a dialog box for you to interact with.
