Reassigning the F1 key to function as a Cancel command

You have probably made the error of pressing the F1 key when reaching for the ESC (escape key) and been stuck waiting for the Help screen to appear before continuing to work. The procedure below will show you how to reassign the F1 key to function as a Cancel key so you can avoid having to wait for the Help screen when you mistakenly press the F1 key.

The process below is performed while in the Land Desktop program. If you want the F1 key to function in the same manner while in Civil 3D, you must repeat the process in that program.
