Installing New York NRCS Custom Linetypes

By default, Autodesk Land Desktop 3 uses the acad.lin, acad.shp, acad.shx files to provide various linetypes. This guide takes the user through the steps to install the files which contain custom linetypes developed by NRCS New York, and instructions on how to access them.

The Adobe Acrobat document below provides instructions for installing the files, and accessing the custom linetypes.

Install custom linetypes (PDF; 115 KB)

Download the files below to the directory shown. The path assumes the user is operating Land Desktop 3. Your directory structure may vary depending on the Autodesk version you are operating.

Save these files to c:\program files\land desktop 3\support.

These files require AutoCAD.

nrcs-ny.lin (LIN; 5 KB)

nrcs-ny.shp (SHP; 10 KB)

nrcs-ny.shx (SHX; 3 KB)
