NRCS New York Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, Transgender (GLBT) Special Emphasis Program

The purpose of this program is to provide focus on issues such as equal program delivery, employment, promotion, training and career enhancement affecting GLBT employees and program applicants at NRCS.

Mission

The GLBT Special Emphasis Program Manager works toward the commitment that diversity, including GLBT diversity, will be celebrated, recognized and be part of the NRCS experience.

  • Identify barriers or biases regarding diversity
  • Seeks to challenge old belief systems
  • Provide knowledge, wisdom and understanding regarding diversity
  • Resolve and prevent conflicts
