Computer Access Requests

Volunteers, Contractors, and Partners affiliated with the agency needing access to Common Computing Environment (CCE) workstations, networks, shared drives, and/or e-mail (including any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) material) must work with their Sponsor to send a packet to an Information System Security Point of Contact (ISSPOC), who will process the request with the appropriate Information Technology Services (ITS) support staff.

USDA has established legal and regulatory requirements that must be met before access is granted to Information Technology resources. The requirements that must be met include:

  • Completed and signed Background Investigation (BI) questionnaire
  • Reading the Security Awareness brochure
  • Completion of Security Awareness and Rules of Behavior Training prior to obtaining access

  • NRCS-IRM-03, Request for User Access to ITS Resources (available from your sponsor)
